ACH Volley advances to the MEVZA Final Four tournament without problems

Ljubljana, 15 - 16 February 2012 – ACH Volley played two quarter-finals matches in the MEVZA competition against hotVolleys from Vienna on Wednesday and Thursday, and scored convincing victories in both matches. The home team won both matches in straight sets. In the first match, the guest team from Vienna scored only 7, 13 and 20 points. HotVolleys scored 12, 13 and 15 points in the second match, which also took place in sports hall Tivoli following an agreement between the two teams. The top scorers were Klemen Čebulj for ACH Volley and Aleksandar Kamenica for hotVolleys.

No parallels can be drawn between the two teams in terms of quality. ACH Volley, the current MEVZA title holder, plays at a much higher level than the very young and undoubtedly inexperienced team of the once very successful and renowned club from Vienna. ACH Volley gave only as much as was needed to secure the two victories, and above all tried to prevent unnecessary injuries. The team will play stronger and more experienced teams in the next round and will undoubtedly have to show more. ACH Volley has only one goal on its mind: to defend the MEVZA title.
