The match against Austrian champions started with some delay, as before their match two teams, Posojilnica AICH Dob from Austria and Mladost Marina Kaštela from Dalmatia engaged themselves in battle for third and fourth place. In strenuous and attractive game the Kaštela team, this year`s Central European League rookie, won the game after playing five sets. Then it was time for the big game. In the long awaited return, this year`s finalists, the host of the tournament Hypo Tirol and the title defender ACH Volley, took their positions in the field. Already in the first set it was obvious that the teams will not surrender without a fight. This time the visiting coach Igor Kolaković sent to the game a different team than the day before in the semi-final match against Kaštela. Besides Flajs, he sent in Lewis, Vinčić, Rašić, Kovačević and Šket and Kamnik who have returned after their injuries. The latter two made the best of the opportunity they were offered, although the entire team worked as one. About a thousand spectators, including some thirty most loyal fans from Slovenia, offered their noisy support to the battle and enjoyed in exceptional duels, particularly great blocks and good and reliable services by players from Bled. Even when the ACH Volley volleyball players started a series with six points behind, they managed to oil their machine properly and in the end came out with a victory in each set separately. The hosts won 22 points in the first two sets and 24 in the third set. On the other hand, the match was actually quite nervous and even the judges made a few mistakes. But in the end, all`s well that ends well. Among hosts the best was their opposite Da Silva who scored 18 points and among ACH Volley players our opposite Alen Šket scored 21 points.
Congratulations to the entire team for the fourth win in the Central European League and once again thanks to all the fans who support them!
