TEAM OF THE YEAR, GUEST STAR OF 2007 IN SPORTS, IECL PRESS AWARD…

The Slovenian sports journalist selected ACH Volley as the best sports team of 2007, which was the icing on the cake of the season 2006/2007, in which our volleyball players won four historic titles, including the European Top Teams Champion’s. The award was given at the end of 2007, at a time when the entire Slovenia was amazed by ACH Volley’s exceptional debut in the sold out sports hall Tivoli in Ljubljana. In February 2008 the readers of The Slovenian Time and the listeners of Radio International have chosen our excellent middle blocker Delano Thomas as the Guest star of 2007 in sports. In March 2008 the European Volleyball Association (CEV) from Luxembourg sent news that ACH Volley won the prestigious IECL Press Award for best press work among the clubs participating in the Champions’ League.

Let us also add a short statistics of ACH Volley’s media coverage to its collection of titles and awards: in the season 2007/2008 we had more than 2100 publications in the Slovenian national and regional media, which is over 600 publications more than in the previous season and over 100 % more than in our first season of 2004/2005 when we first started with the systematic experts’ work. Furthermore, there were more than 25.000 spectators at the ACH Volley’s matches in Radovljica and Tivoli and more than 120.000 viewers all over Slovenia watched the match broadcasts.
